March Madness’ Song

This song has been on a repeat loop since a few months ago. I did not even remember how I discovered this song the first time, but I knew I had loved it since the first play.

The thing about this song is it reminded me of someone instantly, from the lyrics, of course. The song title is “Labirin” (re a maze or labyrinth, English), from a really famous Indonesian singer, Tulus; incredible song and lyrics, always.

It means: I try to find out about you, your birthday and birth years, I study your astrological sign, try to guess your personality, your favourite cartoon character, and your favourite colour, I am tracing at which point we will meet.

I was smiling from the first listening because it was what happened to me; no matter how much I tried to deny it, it happened; I gotta admit it. I owed myself honesty.

I even mumbled the answer for each sentence. Astrological sign? Virgo. Do I believe in a trait based on the astrological sign? Definitely not, but well, according to the blog I read on the internet months ago, a Virgo is usually a caring person. Is it true? In this particular case, yes. Favourite colours? Hm … perhaps red or blue. Cartoon character? I guess Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece. I felt stupid; nevertheless, I was smiling, but still, I felt stupid.

Of course, time goes by, and this shameful secret was finally out to the exact someone I meant it for. It was worth it, and I guess it would not hurt me once in a while to admit my feelings towards someone, especially when they are special enough to be remembered from a song.

This song will probably stay for another month in a loop of mine. Kudos to Tulus though, he made another someone feel things and smile from ear to ear while listening to his music.
